Hi, I’m Anamaria Mihaescu, a passionate and dedicated full-time Events Management student at ICMS. In August 2023, I took a leap of faith, packed my bags, bid farewell to my family and friends in Romania, and set off on the adventure of a lifetime. Now, I call the vibrant campus in Manly my home.

Life on campus is anything but ordinary. When I’m not soaking up the sun at one of the three breathtaking beaches just a short walk away or taking Salsa dance classes, I’m engaging in thought-provoking debates with my inspiring teachers, immersing myself in the vibrant student life as a Resident Leader and as a member of the SRC and ISR student associations, and working part-time in Marketing and Events with one of ICMS’s esteemed partners.

At ICMS, every day feels like a dream come true. Where else can you enjoy a leisurely lunch with a friend from Luxembourg, catch some waves while surfing alongside your French mate, dance the night away at a fantastic party with your Australian companion, and share laughter over life’s silliest moments with your German buddies?

In just one trimester, I have fallen head over heels in love with Australia, and I owe it all to ICMS and the Postgraduate Innovation Scholarship received.
