Freedom, relaxation and privacy, all with a harbour view. This beach is the perfect site for a picnic followed by a swim in its calm, scenic waters. It is also nice to chill there at night with some friends. If you have ever seen the famous Youtube video of a guy jumping from a cliff with his GoPro and seeing a white shark just in front of him: it was shot there! The appearance of the shark in the video is a fake, but people actually jump off the 10 metres high cliff!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mackenzies Bay<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Have you ever heard of a disappearing beach? Mackenzies Bay in northern Tamarama is normally a rocky bay that turns every couple of months into a beach through a combination of shifting sand and low tide. Always backed by rocks, Mackenzie\u2019s Beach is at its largest, a 50 metres strip on sand and generally unpatrolled. Another great spot to visit Little Congwong Beach, close to the mouth of Botany Bay in La Perouse. The space is surrounded by a green hill and gives you the feeling you are hundreds of kilometres away from the city.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whitehaven Beach<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_3_Irene.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-30362\" src=\"https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_3_Irene-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Beaches_3_Irene\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_3_Irene-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_3_Irene.jpg 788w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> If you have heard about the famous Whitehaven Beach at the Whitsundays and the Wineglass Bay in Tasmania, you will love to know that similar looking beaches are right there just two and a half hours from Sydney, in Port Stephens! Hire a car with your friends and visit the city, which leaves you spoilt for choice with its 26 beaches, lively waterside food and drink scene, boutique shopping and range of activities. There you can swim, snorkel, surf and kayak, as well as ride the famous golden sand dunes. Catch a boat to the Tea Gardens, visit the Nelson Head Lighthouse, do a bushwalk and watch whales and dolphins.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jervis Bay<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_6_Irene.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-30367\" src=\"https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_6_Irene-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Beaches_6_Irene\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_6_Irene-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.international-student-office.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Beaches_6_Irene.jpg 1020w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Renowned for its white sand beaches and exotic turquoise waters, Jervis Bay is one of the best places in Australia to unwind and take a break from it all. Located just under three hours from Sydney, the getaway destination has safe beaches, luscious lagoons, secret coves and hidden creeks absolutely ideal for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, surfing and just about anything else possible on water. The Bay is enclosed by Booderee National Park for wilderness lovers and is native to kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats and many rare species of Australia.
