Student report by Maxim F. – Sports at UNCW\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

UNCW is a very athletic university. There are plenty of sports to watch, and there are also a lot of opportunities for students to engage in sport activities. UNCW has various sport teams that are all worth watching. Not all teams compete in the fall but I got to see UNCW`s soccer, basketball, and volleyball team.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"Additionally, my personel highlight was UNCW ice hockey. Ice hockey was extremely entertaining because there are usually a lot of students coming to the games. Moreover, the atmosphere at the ice hockey games was by far the best. Every student was engaged, and the whole stadium was chanting and rooting for UNCW.<\/p>\n

\nAttending the basketball games is also very interesting. The stadium is impressive because it is so big. It was always nice to go and
\nwatch the games with my friends. Moreover, there are opportunities to get free t-shirts from UNCW at basketball games, so that is another reason to attend them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But, not only can you watch a lot of sports at UNCW, there are also plenty of opportunities for students to be active. For example, I joined the soccer club. I had a lot of fun, and it was a great way to meet new people. We practiced twice a week and had six games against other universities. The niveau was not the best but it was much more about having fun.<\/p>\n

\"\"UNCW also offers so called intramural sports. This is just a fun way to participate in different sports for just a couple of days. For instance, me and my roommates formed a team to engage in a dodgeball tournament on paddle boards. It was incredibly fun to play, even though we did not stand a chance. Additionally, we played in two different volleyball tournaments, where we also lost, but we had so much fun getting together and competing against others.<\/p>\n

Intramural sports are a great way to try out new sports. UNCW offered tournaments for sports I had never even heard about before.\u00a0And, the gym at UNCW is exceptional and free to use for students. They have so much equipment for students to use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
