Viva Las Vegas

“What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”

Nearly anyone around the world knows this sentence about the “Sin City”; the playground for adults in the desert of Nevada. Las Vegas is not far away from San Diego and you have lots of chances to spend a weekend in this awesome city. Partying in the big clubs, sleeping in the famous high class hotels on the strip and losing money in the casinos; this is Vegas.

How to get to Vegas

Vegas (2)
From San Diego you have lots of possibilities to visit the city for a weekend trip. I recommend staying in Vegas for 2 or 3 nights; usually this is enough. The city consists of the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, lots of hotels and the night life. During the day you do not have lots of things to do. Most people do a one day trip to the Grand Canyon but there are not lots of other sights. You have the possibility to visit Vegas by car or by Greyhound bus, but there are also guided tours from organizations like “Party Bus San Diego” or “San Diego experiences” (www.sandiegoexperiences.com).

Tours to Vegas

Mostly you get informed about those trips in several Facebook groups and the organizations advertise their trips a lot. Those trips mostly include the bus tour, hotel for two nights and the possibility to visit an outlet shopping center or the Grand Canyon. The price for this tour is roughly 200 USD and you’re staying at a 5 star hotel on the end of the Strip. This trip has the advantage that you’re travelling in a huge group with lots of other students who like to get to know new friends and who are all ready to party. Furthermore pool parties are included and you have free entrances to special night clubs with skip the line tickets.

Exploring Vegas on your own…

The other possibility is visiting Vegas at your own. Hotels are not that expensive in the Sin City so you’re able to find a luxury stay for a comparable low price. If you are in Vegas on your own you have to pay for the clubs and you do not get those skip the line tickets. But if you are walking down the strip there are lots of promoters who try to attract you coming to their club. Actually it is pretty easy to get in those clubs if you’re well dressed.
All in all I think both opportunities are perfect because you have different advantages.
