Vancouver Island University (VIU) was founded in 1936 and is one of the most popular universities in Canada’s West.  VIU offers more than 200 study programs in various study fields. Students can complete a full study program or a semester abroad at Vancouver Island University or improve their English skills in fun and interactive English programs.

About 18.000 students are currently attending VIU, however the university places great value on small class sizes (max. 34 students) and individual support by outstanding professors. Canadian as well as international students from all around the world study together in an encouraging and welcoming atmosphere, tying friendship and a network of business contacts.
