Our UNCW Ambassadors introduce themselves:
Sarah S.
UNCW Ambassador 2023
Dear future Seahawk,
my name is Sarah, I am 22 years old and I had the privilege to spend my semester abroad at UNCW from August 2022 to December 2022. In Germany, I am now in my 6th semester studying Business Administration at Koblenz University. At UNCW, I was able to take five business courses, with my highlight being the “Growing and Managing the Business” course. In the course we started our own business and with the help of the course material and guest lectures we grew it and got evaluated on it at the end.
UNCW won me over right on the first day with its size and the nature-based campus. The huge gym, which you can reach within a five-minute walk, as well as the beautiful Wrightsville Beach made my stay at UNCW unique. Not every student can claim to be able to go to the ocean after classes until November. Wilmington is not only beautiful, but it is also pretty perfectly located between the big cities like Washington, New York, Charleston or Miami.
During my time I got to meet a lot of great people and built up a friendship with my roommates, which I would have never dreamed of. The students at UNCW are also always very enthusiastic about us international students.
I would love to hear your questions about UNCW, life in the U.S., and how to organize your study abroad experience. Feel free to contact me anytime via email (schaefer.sarah17@gmx.de) or on Instagram (@sfr_sarah).
Warm greetings
Sarah
