Every year, Vancouver Island University (VIU) awards three scholarships to students who spend a semester abroad at VIU in Canada and who applied via our European office for their term at VIU.

Scholarships Canada: Spring Term

In spring, one partial scholarship will be awarded to students who will studying abroad at VIU from January to April:

1 X 1 000 CANADIAN DOLLARS

Scholarships Canada: Fall Term

In fall, two partial scholarships will be awarded to students who will studying abroad at VIU from August to December:

1 X 1000 EUROS

1 X 1000 CANADIAN DOLLARS

Scholarships Canada: Requirements

You are eligible to apply for one of our VIU scholarships, if

• you have applied for a study abroad term at Vancouver Island University at the indicated times
• you are successfully enrolled in a Bachelor or Master term at VIU and applied through the International Student Office
• you consent to writing 10 different experience reports during your study abroad term (5 in English and 5 in your native language) with about 400-600 words each including three self-taken photos about your experiences abroad, or agree to take 8 short videos (90-180 seconds) for us, or are prepared to produce 10 Facebook or Instagram postings for our social media channels
