ICMS Ambassador 2023

Our ICMS Ambassadors introduce themselves:

In January 2022, I packed my bags and said goodbye to the cold weather in Germany as I set off on my adventure of a lifetime – to the land of sun, sand, and endless possibilities – Australia! My destination was the coastal suburb of Manly in Sydney, where I’d be studying at the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) as part of my double degree program.

Arriving in Manly, I was immediately struck by the diversity of the student body at ICMS. With students from all over the world, it was like a mini United Nations on campus. It was so easy to make new friends from all around the globe and the courses were just as diverse, with a wide range of subjects from management to fashion to events and everything in between.

But my time in Manly wasn’t all about studying. When I wasn’t hitting the books, I was exploring the exceptional surroundings. Swimming at Manly Beach or strolling along the Northern Beaches with breathtaking views to unwind after a long day of studying. And when I had a bit more time on my hand, I was discovering the rest of the country. I had the opportunity to travel all around Australia and see some of the most beautiful and unique places this country has to offer. From camping on the west coast, to experiencing the culture of the outback at Uluru, to city-hopping on the east coast, I truly got to experience all that Australia has to offer.

As my time in Australia came to an end, I was sad to say goodbye to this amazing country and the incredible people I met during my time here. But I’m excited to be a student ambassador to share my experiences with others who are thinking about studying abroad in Australia. If you have any questions or want more information, don’t hesitate to reach out to me via email or check out my Instagram (trave_lise) account.

My opinion: Studying in Australia was an incredible experience truly worth the effort. Don’t let the thought of organising everything discourage you, there is so much to gain from a semester abroad at ICMS. Reach out to me for more info and start planning your adventure of a lifetime today!
