My name is Claudia Damen and I am excited to support you on your upcoming adventure abroad!

During my childhood I lived in Ireland for 4 years – the foundation for a travel-intensive life was thus laid early. Even as a young person I was fascinated by foreign countries and cultures unknown to me. This enthusiasm has not diminished over the years, quite the opposite. After serving as a soldier in the German Armed Forces for 12 years, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. I then continued my studies in Koblenz to obtain my Master of Science in Business Management with a focus on Operations Management. During my studies I was fortunate enough to spend 2 semesters studying abroad. In my bachelor’s degree I spent 5 months in Bali and the master’s degree semester at Vancouver Island University in Canada. The time in Canada in particular had a great influence on my personal development. The wonderful mix of studies, Canadian life and nature made it one of the best times of my life. In Canada you are spoilt for choice in your free time between cool activities at the VIU, exploring the island on your own, weekend trips (for example to Seattle in the USA) or simply spending time with new friends. There really is something for everyone here.

My personal highlight was watching the bears catching salmon – a real spectacle! During each stay abroad you develop further, recognize new strengths, become more self-confident and independent. I am looking forward to accompanying you on your journey and helping you to have an even better time abroad with my tips. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
